Personal Training

I work with clients to help them move better and feel better. I provide virtual training for busy clients looking for at-home solutions, and in-person training sessions at a studio in South Minneapolis.

We’ll start with a 30-minute call to talk about your goals and to create a package that fits your needs - and your schedule. Clients choose from packages that include in-person or Zoom sessions, combined with workouts they do on their own using my trainer app.

In our first session, I’ll see how you currently move. I’ll design a program customized for your unique needs and goals.

I follow an evidence-based model from NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) to safely progress you through your program.

Equipment

At our initial intake, we’ll talk about the equipment that you already have, and discuss items you may want to get. Some clients begin with bodyweight movements and will only need a yoga mat. Clients may progress to other equipment like resistance loops and dumbbells.

Most of my personal training clients use a foam roller as part of their movement prep. Research shows the benefits, and I’ve observed improvements in my clients’ flexibility and mobility when they foam roll consistently. Clients report feeling better in daily activities, and moving better during their workouts.

I recommend a 36” medium-density foam roller (or 48” if you’re 6 feet or taller). Local clients have the option to purchase a foam roller directly from me. Remote clients will receive recommendations and links to order online.

Foam Rolling Clinics

I offer clinics for running groups and clubs, sports teams, and other groups who can benefit from foam rolling for movement prep (warm-ups), cool downs, and active recovery.
