Maple Breakfast Sausage
1 pound ground turkey (Ferndale Market, or other local farm)
2 T pure maple syrup
3/4 tsp sea salt
1 tsp chopped rosemary
1 tsp chopped sage
A few dashes ground nutmeg
Heat large pan over med-high heat.
Add turkey, stirring to break up.
Add remaining ingredients and cook until browned (5-8 min).
Meal prep ideas:
Set out 5 glass containers.
Equally divide sausage into containers.
Add 1 c. washed and chopped spinach or kale to each bowl.
Add 1 tsp extra virgin coconut oil to each bowl.
Add 1/2 c. cooked oatmeal, roasted sweet potatoes, or other healthy carb to each bowl.
Store in the fridge for up to 5 days, or freeze.
