Strength Class

 

I love feeling strong. It gives me confidence, helping me stand taller and move more efficiently through life. I’m excited to share strength classes in my on-demand library!

Classes focus on:

  • Mobility, flexibility, and balance

  • Core and joint stabilization

  • Postural alignment and control

  • Muscular and aerobic endurance

We start with bodyweight-only moves, and progress to weighted movements when YOU are ready.

I emphasize proper form to get the most out of every move. I give options to customize exercises.

Every workout has a warm-up, core activation and balance moves, strength training, and a cool-down.

During the strength moves, we do a higher number of repetitions using slow movements and holds.

This puts demand on our connective tissues and stabilizing muscles to prep the body for different types of movements, and weights.

We focus on movement patterns like squat, push, pull, press, and hinge - things we need to do in daily life.

What you’ll need:

  • Water

  • Yoga mat

  • Cushioned mat or folded towel

  • Small or medium dumbbells, soup cans, or filled water bottles (optional)

  • Foam roller (optional - we use this occasionally)
